Where, when and how to enrol? 

First possibility

  • You are about to finish your secondary education or about to obtain your Baccalaureate or another qualification in 2017
  • You finished your secondary education or you obtained your Baccalaureate or another qualification before 2017 and you never started higher education studies

→ You can complete the online form as of now by following the instruction manual to use the online form here.

Education department : coverage will be organized from 28 June to 14 July  and from 17 August. Monday to Friday from 9.00 am to 12.00 am and from13.00 pm to 16.00 pm (any coverage on the afternoon of Friday, July 14).

 

Second possibility

  • You started higher education studies after your secondary education or your Baccalaureate:

→ You have to wait the enrolment opening (from the 28th of June 2017) and go in person to the enrolment service  in order to

  1. complete the enrolment form,
  2. provide all the documents listed below,
  3. pay the enrolment fees.

The Haute Ecole insists on the consequences of a fraudulent previous activity statement or omission, including the production of forged documents. In case of fraud, the student will immediately lose his/her regularly enrolled student status as well as his/her rights on passed exams for a period of 5 years.

Which documents should I provide to enrol?  

The necessary documents are different according to your school career.

Please note that if your enrolment file is incomplete (online or on the spot), the enrolment office will be unable to approve your enrolment and will ask you to complete your file.

The documents which are not written in French, German, Dutch or English must be translated by a certified translator from Belgium.

 

Situation 1

You just finished your secondary education in 2017 in the Wallonia Brussels Federation → online enrolment

In order to enrol in the Haute Ecole Albert Jacquard, you must complete an enrolment file online which includes :

  • A recent passport photo,
  • A Belgian or foreign identity document (double sided), valid for the whole academic year,
  • The original provisional version of the CESS (High school diploma, which includes graduation date, date and signature of the Head of school and school stamp).

 

Situation 2

You just obtained your secondary education diploma in 2017 abroad→ online enrolment

In order to enrol in the Haute Ecole Albert Jacquard, you must complete an enrolment file online which includes:

  • A recent passport photo,
  • An identity document (double sided), valid for the whole academic year,
  • The copy of the note transcript of the Baccalaureate or any other qualification obtained in June 2017,
  • The original certificate of the foreign High school diploma or, failing that, the proof of the submitted request for the certificate of equivalence to the Wallonia Brussels Federation before the 15th of July 2017.

IMPORTANT: the request for the certificate of equivalence must be sent before the 15th of July 2017

 

Situation 3

You obtained your secondary education diploma in the Wallonia Brussels Federation in 2016 or before 2016

(→ inscription sur place)

In order to enrol in the Haute Ecole Albert Jacquard, you must provide an enrolment file including:

  • A recent passport photo,
  • A Belgian or foreign identity document (double sided), valid for the whole academic year,
  • A copy of the CESS (High school diploma) 

 

→ If you have started higher education studies after you obtained your CESS,

You also must provide (enrolment on the spot) :

  • The certificates of school attendance signed by the Head of school along with the notes transcript, duly authenticated by a competent authority, showing training hours and ECTS credits and marked with the passed or failed quote for each academic year in Higher education performed in Belgium or abroad. It will be mentioned on these that the student is not liable for any amount of money to the school delivering the certificates
  • If applicable, the copies of the Degrees or qualifications obtained by the student. 
  • A certificate of health check issued by a University College of the Wallonia Brussels Federation in case of a school career in continuous non-university higher education.

 

 If you have one or more employment contract(s) after your obtained your CESS,

You also must provide :

  • The documentary evidence proving each year of the professional career of the last 5 years in Belgium or abroad (certificates from the employer, employment contracts, termination contracts) with, in all cases, a certificate specifying the weekly hours

 

If you are registered unemployed since you have obtained your CESS

You also must provide:

  • The certificates from the unemployment office (Forem in Belgium, the certificates specifying the registration date (beginning and end dates) as well as the absence of unemployment application exemption because of studies (C93 form));
  • in case of application exemption because of studies, the original C93 form with the agreement of the Forem,

 

→ If your mother tongue is not French

You also must provide :

  • The document accrediting the adequate knowledge of French (an exam will be organised at the beginning of the academic year).

 

If you did not start studies, you did not work and you did not register at the unemployment office :

Situation 4

You obtained your secondary education diploma in a foreign country in 2016 or before 2016

In order to enrol in the Haute Ecole Albert Jacquard, you must provide an enrolment file including :

  • A recent passport photo,
  • An identity document (double sided), valid for the whole academic year,
  • The copy of the Baccalaureate or any other qualification obtained in June 2016 ; or before 2016,
  • The original certificate of equivalence of a foreign secondary education diploma or, failing that, the proof of the submitted request for the certificate of equivalence to the Wallonia Brussels Federation
     
    before the 15th of July 2017. Important : the request for the certificate of equivalence must be sent before the 15th of July, 2017
  • The certificates of school attendance signed by the Head of school along with the notes transcript, duly authenticated by a competent authority, showing training hours and ECTS credits and marked with the passed or failed quote for each academic year in Higher education performed in Belgium or abroad.   • The copies of the obtained diplomas and qualifications
  • The documentary evidence proving each year of the professional career of the last 5 years in Belgium or abroad (certificates from the employer, employment contract specifying the weekly hours);
  • The certificates from the unemployment office (certificates specifying the registration date (beginning and end dates);
  • If applicable, the certificate of a health check issued by a University College from the Wallonia Brussels Federation in case of a school career in continuous non-university higher education;
  • If applicable, the document accrediting the adequate knowledge of French (an exam will be organised at the beginning of the academic year).

 

 


Situation 5

You are a non-Belgian student from the European Community and you live in Belgium with your parents

Besides the documents mentioned above according to your career, please provide us a household composition issued by the local administration of your place of residence.

 


Situation 6

You are a student from outside the European Community

Your enrolment requests the agreement of the Head of school based on a complete file. After your file is accepted, you’ll receive a conditional enrolment certificate (to obtain your student visa). Then, you will have to hand over a valid residence permit to the Haute Ecole and pay the enrolment fees.

Enrolment fees

The enrolment fees are not known yet. As soon as we have the information concerning the amount for this year, we will release it on this website. (In 2016-2017, the enrolment fee amount was 400 euros, for reference only).

Enrolment cancellation

If you want to cancel your enrolment before the school start (on 14th of September 2017), you must notify your decision in a written letter addressed to the Head of school of your department. Please don’t forget to mention your contact details, your account number and the exact date of dropout.

  • If your cancellation occurs before the 1st of December 10% of the amount is still payable to the HEAJ.
  • If your cancellation occurs after the 1st of December, no refund will be possible anymore

Studies in English (in Computer graphics department only)

The students who want to follow the full programme of Block 1 in English must notify the administration office for students (+32 (0)81 24 70 30 – isabelle.pirotte@heaj.be) before the 8th of September 2017.
