Training description

The preschool teacher is in charge of children aged from two to six years old. He/she encourages their development by proposing learning activities based on games. He/she guides the child during a crucial period: the personality structuring. The preschool teacher often remains one of the first key figures outside the family environment.

In order to play his/her role of reference person in the life of young children, the preschool teacher has to master plenty of skills that he/she will learn during his/her programme at the HEAJ.

This programme is built upon three lines:

  • A subject based approach for every single area of basic education,
  • Tools used for teaching that develop common skills with other subjects,
  • A professional integration of the future teacher in his/her profession with a drive to practice in the field.
