Training description

In barely thirty years, video games moved from a hobby status to one of the biggest entertainment industries.

This extraordinary growth can only be sustained by supplying new highly specialized professionals on the labour market, because the complex technologies used in this domain need a special training more than ever for those who want to enter that extremely competitive field.

Thanks to partnerships with key companies in the video game industry such as Sony Computer Entertainment and the availability of exclusive material (developing systems and professional engines), the video game programme offers you to develop cutting-edge skills in the most promising fields of this industry and takes place in the same learning environment you will later find in the industry.

The teaching team includes many teachers actively working in the video game industry. It enables us, among other things, to ensure that our graduate students will always be ready to face the most recent technologies required by the job.

Creative parts: procedural material design, shaders, particle systems, special effects, game layout.

Technical parts: integration of the different video game professions, design and programming of game prototypes, design of help tools for game design and editing.

The technical artists:

  • are at the heart of video game design, between artistic creation and programming. The most technical angles of this profession have to be mastered: design tools, production pipelines and technical constraints have to be well-known.
  • are also responsible for integration and automation problems met by the developing teams. Programming and scripting mastery are therefore necessary.
