Training description

A programme in line with the new image and digital graphics design professions.

Methodology :

A great variety of teaching methods is proposed (theory-practice intertwining, group work, individual and collaborative projects, transversal workshops) in order to develop the independence, the collaboration spirit and the creativity in students.

Organisation:

The modules proposed during the first year allow the student to get familiar with the different domains of computer graphics and gain the necessary theoretical and practical knowledge to start then a specific programme in a section: 3D Animation, 3D Visual effects, Game Art in video games, Game Development in video games, Tech Art in video game, Web Design and Mobile, 2D Animation and Illustration, Graphic and advertising communication.

In English ? The students who want to enhance their English level can follow the courses of the first year in English.

The graduation year leads the student to discover the professional world through work placements in companies, that can be carried out in many countries, in Europe and in other continents. This graduation year also invites the students to show the acquired skills by achieving a Graduation project.

Because our students have countless projects in their mind but sometimes have difficulties carrying them out, they have the opportunity to get trained and advised in their process of launching their entrepreneurial project.

After the Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Graphics, the students have several opportunities to continue their studies.

The HEAJ organises an Honours Year in Video Games. The purpose of this Honours Year is to lead the students to develop a video game at a professional level taking the specificities of the industry and the market expectations into account.

The HEAJ also proposes the Master of Transmedia architecture, co-organised with the University of Namur and the Musical and Educational Higher Institute (IMEP).

Our wealth : our teachers come from different backgrounds, directly linked with the professional world and our students have different backgrounds as well. Altogether, it allows us to offer an original programme built on the contributions of each of its members.
